Who operates Refiner
Refiner is a brand of Game On Interactive LTD (Refiner, we, us). This policy covers the public website and free website analyzer. Shopify merchants may also use Refiner inside Shopify; app-specific processing is described here together with the controls available in the app.
Information we process
- Website audit input: the public URL you submit, redirects, server-delivered HTML, response headers, and public crawl resources such as robots.txt and sitemap.xml.
- Audit results: scores, findings, performance availability, detected platform signals, and technical page facts.
- Usage and reliability events: page path, audit start/completion/failure, approximate timing, CTA interactions, device class, and error category.
- Shopify app data: installation identifiers, shop domain, settings, scan findings, merchant-approved fixes, plan and billing status, and support context required to provide the service.
How we use information
We process information to deliver audits and reports, secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, measure conversion and product quality, provide support, operate Shopify features, and comply with legal obligations.
Public URLs and third-party services
The analyzer only accepts public web pages. A submitted page may be requested by Refiner and, when live performance data is available, by Google PageSpeed Insights. Opening Shopify links transfers you to Shopify under Shopify's own privacy terms. We do not use submitted URLs to change the analyzed website.
Saved and shared reports
Audit results are stored only when a shareable report is created. Anyone with the unguessable report link can view that report, so do not create or distribute a link for information you consider confidential. Shared reports are designed to expire after a limited retention period.
Cookies and analytics
Refiner may use necessary first-party storage for language, report continuity, security, and aggregate product analytics. We do not sell personal data or use the website analyzer to build cross-site advertising profiles.
Service providers and transfers
We use infrastructure, database, monitoring, performance, Shopify, and API providers only as needed to operate Refiner. Data may be processed where those providers operate, subject to appropriate contractual and legal safeguards where required.
Retention
Transient audit processing is kept only as long as needed to return the result and maintain security logs. Shared reports and analytics events use limited retention periods. Shopify account, billing, and security records may be retained longer where required for service delivery, disputes, fraud prevention, or law.
Your choices and rights
You can avoid creating a shared report, delete locally saved preferences, uninstall the Shopify app, and request access, correction, export, or deletion where applicable. Installed merchants can also use the privacy controls available inside Refiner.
Security
We use scoped access, transport encryption, request validation, restricted public-page fetching, and operational monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes
We may update this policy as Refiner evolves. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
